the story of fa The story of fa, is the story of birth, rebirth and the growth that happens in between. Does that make fa like the Phoenix? Rising from her own ashes to live again? Or does that make fa a butterfly, transforming herself with each stage of life. You the reader will form your own opinions after you’ve finished.
It all started many years ago, 1997, think back to where you were, this is where fa began.
Once upon a time, there was a little lost soul who was found by a wonderful man, a FallenAngel who claimed her as his own. She became Fallen’s angel (not to be confused with the myriad of fallen angels that inhabit chat) and she loved him with all of her heart. But he fought demon’s of his own and they claimed more and more of his time. She saw him less and less and soon she became his forgotten angel. She got lost in her sorrow and found her way out the other side in time, but in the darkness between she had become ~fa~. Not Fallen’s angel, not his forgotten angel, simply fa, she filled in the blanks as it suited her, forgotten again, feverishly adored, falling asleep….just fa.
Forward a few years, she chatted less, she got a life, she got married, had a child and thought herself lucky to have the life she thought she wanted.
Now, 2007, rebirth. A new fa emerges; she is given a name Fianna Aine, the name to light the way to her future.
Ancient Irish name from the noun aine that means "splendor, radiance, brilliance." Aine is connected with fruitfulness and prosperity. The queen of the Munster fairies was called Aine as was one of the wives of Fionn Mac Cool (read the legend). Aine appears in folktales as "the best-hearted woman who ever lived – lucky in love and in money” But she serves as a timely reminder for Summer that just as all things grow, all things eventually fade. The trees that once blossomed and bore fruit will turn golden brown and loose their leaves. Wildflowers will die, and sleep will fall over the land. The fairy queen reminds us that life is in itself a season, a cycle and never ending. Give, live and love while you can, and always remember to feel your own vital spark of life’s fire.
So that is where fa is going, to the yet unwritten future.
NATASHA BEDINGFIELD LYRICS
"Unwritten"
I am unwritten, can't read my mind, I'm undefined I'm just beginning, the pen's in my hand, ending unplanned
Staring at the blank page before you Open up the dirty window Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance So close you can almost taste it Release your inhibitions Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins The rest is still unwritten
Oh, oh, oh
I break tradition, sometimes my tries, are outside the lines We've been conditioned to not make mistakes, but I can't live that way
Staring at the blank page before you Open up the dirty window Let the sun illuminate the words that you could not find
Reaching for something in the distance So close you can almost taste it Release your inhibitions Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins
Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins The rest is still unwritten
Feel the rain on your skin No one else can feel it for you Only you can let it in No one else, no one else Can speak the words on your lips Drench yourself in words unspoken Live your life with arms wide open Today is where your book begins The rest is still unwritten The rest is still unwritten The rest is still unwritten
Oh, yeah, yeah
