Oh boy, I've certainly been summarily taken to task, indeed.
I'll be sure to pay better attention next time, RecycledPorker. Thank you.
Do you do your own independent reading of the reports behind every article published in newspapers and the web or do you read what others report? Yes, and Yes - but always with more than one source for reliability of reporting.
And while your question I am sure is rhetorical - Especially, but not limited to, financial reporting - I read the reports themselves, RecycledPorker.
When accessing summary from reporting sources, I use a number of financial sites. But none that do not link the report in their analysis. These are generally out at 8:30:30 to 8:33:00 am. Fast, I know - but "blurbs" throughout the day are useless, to some of us. If you would like additional sources, let me know.
Or, continue to rely on Bloomberg - they sorta kinda got it right as you said;
It is regular practice for these outlets to post a quick blurb as soon they can and then fully read the reports after issuing the blurbs and present more in depth analysis later in the day. Sometimes stories are updated 3 or more times during the day. That is what you saw when you went to the story - an updated version. by 4:35pm.

Seriously, you read reports behind every article published in newspapers and on the web. *L*
I call bulllshit.
Even if you are unemployed there is so much data out there that it is physically impossible for anyone to do what you just claimed. But thanks for playing.

Of course you are right, RecycledPorker.
I'll take that as a no, that you don't want more in depth financial resources.
You keep playing!
