Some days....ya just need to laugh!
I got this in my email today and i laughed....
out loud.....
I hope some of you do the same!..*s*

~~~~
JACK (age 3) was watching his Mom breast-feeding his new baby sister...
After a while he asked:
'Mom why have you got two?
Is one for hot and one for cold milk?'
MELANIE (age 5) asked her Granny how old she was..
Granny replied she was so old she didn't remember any more.
Melanie said, 'If you don't remember you must look in the back of your panties.
Mine say five to six.'
STEVEN (age 3) hugged and kissed his Mom good night.
'I love you so much
that when you die
I'm going to bury you outside my bedroom window.'
BRITTANY (age 4) had an ear ache and wanted a pain killer.
She tried in vain to take the lid off the bottle.
Seeing her frustration, her Mom explained it was a child-proof cap
and she'd have to open it for her.
Eyes wide with wonder,
the little girl asked: 'How does it know it's me?'
SUSAN (age 4) was drinking juice when she got the hiccups.
'Please don't give me this juice again,' she said,
'It makes my teeth cough..'
DJ (age 4)stepped onto the bathroom scale and asked:
'How much do I cost?'
CLINTON (age 5) was in his bedroom looking worried
when his Mom asked what was troubling him, he replied,
'I don't know what'll happen with this bed when I get married.
How will my wife fit in it?'
MARC (age 4) was engrossed in a young couple
that were hugging and kissing in a restaurant.
Without taking his eyes off them, he asked his dad:
'Why is he whispering in her mouth?'
TAMMY(age 4) was with her mother when they met an elderly,
rather wrinkled woman her Mom knew.
Tammy looked at her for a while and then asked,
'Why doesn't your skin fit your face?'
JAMES (age 4)was listening to a Bible story.
His dad read:
'The man named Lot was warned to take his wife
and flee out of the city
but his wife looked back and was turned to salt.
Concerned, James asked: 'What happened to the flea?'
And finally.
The Sermon I think this Mom will never forget ...
This particular Sunday sermon...
.'Dear Lord,' the minister began,
with arms extended toward heaven
and a rapturous look on his upturned face.
'Without you, we are but dust...'
He would have continued
but at that moment my very obedient daughter
who was listening, leaned over to me and
asked quite audibly in her shrill little four year old girl voice,
'Mom, what is butt dust?'
When I was a child...(yes, I DO remember that far back..*L*),
I was taught the values of truth and kindness.
I went to a convent school and Sister Maria Terezia told us
that when speaking, the first thing we need ask ourselves is this:
Is it true?
But a yes answer to that did not satisfy this amazing woman.
I know now that these thoughts did not start with her
but at the time, I thought she was simply a genius..*L*
After assuring ourselves it is true, she said
Ask yourself these questions:
Is it necessary?
Will it hurt anyone?
Will it improve on the silence?”
and
Is it kind?
So today, my thoughts are of that woman
and
Kindness....
~~~~~

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch,
a smile, a kind word,
a listening ear, an honest compliment,
or the smallest act of caring,
all of which have the potential to turn a life around.

- Leo Buscaglia

~~~~
Kindness trumps greed:
it asks for sharing.
Kindness trumps fear:
it calls forth gratefulness and love.
Kindness trumps even stupidity,
for with sharing and love, one learns.
- Marc Estrin
Three things in human life are important.
The first is to be kind.
The second is to be kind.
The third is to be kind.
- Henry James
We must be as courteous to a man as we are to a picture,
which we are willing to give the advantage of a good light.
~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Tenderness and kindness
are not signs of weakness and despair
but manifestations
of strength and resolution. ~
~ Kahlil Gibran
If someone is too tired to give you a smile,
leave one of your own,
because no one needs a smile as much
as those who have none to give.
Was looking through some old pictures of my grandfather to do picture boards to have at his memorial. Most of the pictures were of him doing something goofy, the rest were either him with his grandchildren or with one of his many animals.
What i learned through those pictures was that my grandfather not only tried to get as much enjoyment as he could out of life, but that he wanted to share it with others - making them smile and passing on as much love as he could.
i want to live the same way.
Thank you restless for posting to this thread.
It sounds like your grandfather was one of those people
who LIVE every day of their lives, filling each day with
love and laughter and the joy of life.
Living your life as he did, is the best tribute to him
that you could ever offer..*s*
I am a Dreamer.
And I am so thankful that I am!
We all need to dream.
We need to hold on to those dreams.
We need to fuel those dreams with the beauty
in the world around us.
We need to fill our lives with dreams
and fill our dreams with life!.....
So today....
I will dare to dream!
Hold fast to dreams for if dreams die,
life is a broken winged bird that cannot fly.
~Langston Hughes
Dream as if you'll live forever...
live as if you'll die today
~ James Dean
Dreams are the touchstones of our character.
~ Henry David Thoreau
We grow great by dreams.
All big men are dreamers.
They see things in the soft haze of a spring day
or in the red fire of a long winter's evening.
Some of us let these great dreams die,
but others nourish and protect them;
nurse them through bad days
till they bring them to the sunshine and light
which comes always to those
who sincerely hope that their dreams will come true.
~ Woodrow Wilson
If you have built castles in the air,
your work need not be lost;
that is where they should be.
Now put the foundations under them.
~ Henry David Thoreau
God gives us dreams a size too big so that we can grow in them.
Just me again...
Sharing a few random thoughts.
Today, find a reason to smile...
and...BE a reason to smile
for someone else!
You can tell more about a person
by what he says about others
than you can by what others
say about him.
~Leo Aikman
~~~~

No man or woman of the humblest sort
can really be strong, gentle and good,
without the world being better for it,
without somebody being helped and comforted
by the very existence of that goodness.
~Alan Alda

Before speaking,
consider the interpretation of your words
as well as their intent.
~Andrew Alden

~~~~
When you arise in the morning,
think of what a precious
privilege it is to be alive-
to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love.
~Marcus Aurelius Antoninus
Love is an act of endless forgiveness,
a tender look which becomes a habit.
~Peter Ustinov
~~~~

Forgiving is love's toughest work, and love's biggest risk.
If you twist it into something it was never meant to be,
it can make you a doormat or an insufferable manipulator.
Forgiving seems almost unnatural.
Our sense of fairness tells us people should pay for the wrong they do.
But forgiving is love's power to break nature's rule.
~Lewis B. Smedes

Fear can be crippling.
And so...unless we want to be crippled,
we need to understand our fears,
and then
Conquer them!

Confront your fears,
list them,
get to know them,

put them aside and move ahead.

Courage is not the absence of fear,
but rather the judgment that something else
is more important than fear.
~Ambrose Redmoon

From time to time, most of us
make a choice to start some part of our life anew.
And thus is born a new beginning.
In truth....each day brings with it a
fresh canvas on which we can create
the art that is our life.
Beginnings mean change and I
have always been a bit afraid of change.
But as I grow older, I realize that I have
less and less time to sit around being afraid.
And so....I watch the sunrise
and I take that first step......
to my New Beginning....

Much as we may wish to make a new beginning,
some part of us resists doing so
as though we were making the first step toward disaster.
~William Bridges

Whenever a thing is done for the first time,
it releases a little demon.

Nobody can go back and start a new beginning,
but anyone can start today and make a new ending.

More powerful than the will to win is the courage to begin.

Remember tonight..
for it is the beginning of always.

thankYou MystT for making this thread, this is the first time for me
but im sure not the last, i for one think its very important to express
ones-self..-smiles thoughtfully-

i love this pic for many reasons, i adore squirrels and i love
kissing on peoples faces..-G-

.. and i don’t believe in the existence of angels
looking at You i wonder if that’s true
but if i did i would summon them together
ask them to watch over You
Oh, to each burn a candle for You
to make bright and clear Your path
and to walk, like Christ, in grace and love
and guide You into my arms ..
