For cancer patients, the study found that the median wait time for radiation therapy was almost seven weeks, exceeding the benchmark of four weeks.

"If I have cancer, I don't want to wait at all. I want to be a priority and not because I have money or influence, but because I need care," Canadian Medical Association president Dr. Robert Ouellet said in a speech Thursday to the Montreal Economic Institute.

Patients are also facing long delays when they go the emergency department, the WTA said, waiting an average of nine hours to be seen and treated and for patients who needed to be admitted, the average wait time was nearly 24 hours.

And because thsi directly affects Kasteele

Wait times for psychiatric care are also well beyond the maximum wait-time benchmark of four weeks, the study said. Patients with major depression are waiting almost six weeks to start treatment with a psychiatrist.

Kasteele - you should get your name on the wait list now!

Compare this again, to the US and we still are leaps and bounds ahead of you, so your point is what? That you know how to cut and paste?

And you're basing your claim on?????????????????????????????????

Oh and remember - access to a waiting list - is not access to health care......and those aren't my words - those are the words of your highest court.

Slutty little dog, is your doctor's last name Patel, or Ratnazar, or Chang, or Nakamura....or is it Smith?

TVI - what difference does my Doc's last name make? As long as they're qualified. Been a bigot long?

please do provide us with a list of these unanswered questions puppy. If they are legit questions, I will answer what I can, maybe even find the answers you don't know how to find. All countries have good things about them, even the US, but most have a lot of catching up to do with Canada.

If you like waiting lists, Canada is for you..if you like actual health care - the US is the place you ought to be.... And judging from Kasteele's mental condition, I'd say Canada needs to improve its mental health care. i image he's just one bad day from climbing a clock tower.....
