SanctimoniousPrick (7/5/2009) well, with the wealth being spread so that all Americans can enjoy a fair bit of decent living - should make those who make more then others feel proud, in as far as to able to contribute to those who are not as fortunate.. I think that alone should provide for a happy brotherhood of man.. We sort of miss that in Canada.. Oh American brother - can you spare a dime?
You MISS that in Canada? I guess the American in you is blinding you to what is around you? That does not sound sarcastic, but it relly should be, these fools in here do not listen to the world news. Canada is by far individually wealthier that America. Hell, next thing you know, they will be asking Canada for foreign aid lol I say when they do, it be put to a vote. Help, or let them eat dirt. Because if the situation were reversed, they would simply laugh at us.

...Americans also reported the greatest number of medical errors. Thirty-four percent reported getting the wrong medication or dose, incorrect test results, a mistake in their treatment or care, or being notified late about abnormal test results. Only 30 percent of Canadian patients, 27 percent of Australian patients, 25 percent of New Zealanders, 23 percent of Germans and 22 percent of Britons reported errors.
Lucian L. Leape of the Harvard School of Public Health said "This provides confirming evidence for what more and more health policy thinkers have been saying, which is, 'The American health care system is quietly imploding, and it's about time we did something about it.' "

SlutPup (7/6/2009) There's a reason why our hospitals are among the best in the world
Funny thing is, a study that W.H.O. did late last year, had Canada's health care, including hospitals, rated at number 18, it US hospitals and health care as number 37. Just how does that rate among the best? Hell, GB was higher than both! Kuwait was number one. I would like you to provide us with some links, that are not advertising, that back up your theory.

A Better Question is why have FREE heathcare
that you have to wait months for and then it doesn't help you with the problem....

free healthcare?...what the fuck is that?
the only difference between a national plan and private care is the payer source and profit factor
your care is paid with after tax dollars mine is paid for with before tax dollars
I pay extra taxes and you pay insurance premiums
a national plan realizes economies of scale and private care realizes profits at the expense of patient health

I have very expensive healthcare....a cadillac plan...but my premiums are tax deductible as are any out of pocket deductibles and copayments that I might encounter....
I pay serious taxes to provide care for the deadbeats but I had rather do that than have the bureaucrats making medical decisions for me.
