i thought so too, moonie...
even though i'm not a huge comic book person, i've seen enough movies
and i watched the cartoons on tv a lot growing up...
i should be more clear
i guessed number one AFTER i saw who number two was -laughs-
and i disagreed

I would have put Apocalypse higher up. The man tormented civilisations for centuries...created the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse and the Dark Riders, stuffed around with the minds and genetics of various people to cull the human race and shape the world to his preference...and he didn't even make the top 10.
Disappointed.
Suppose he isn't an overly well known character though.
