Let's see if I screw this up. I've never posted a poll before.
I myself am torn.
For reasons I can't explain, I like to watch the Kentucky Derby.
The tradition. The gorgeous horses. The long shots.
Having said that, after seeing a horse euthanized on television last year, I'm not sure I can bring myself to watch again.
Guess I'll know this afternoon.

I'll watch it because I love horses and it reminds me of a dear friend who I miss so much...Dizzy. She loved everything about horses and made sure we all had a great time each year with her Run for the Triple Crown games in here.
I hate what happened last year..hate that the race and rules have changed so much that they will run so many horses and not care about the safety of them and the riders.
So, yes I'll be watching but for sentimental reasons.. will be thinking of Dizzy in her great big derby hat and her mint juliep.. *s
