i too, do not know you well, however, i do know the loss of dear one and of direct family as i lost my brother a year and a half ago suddenly.
Please know that time truly does ease the pain.
My prayers are with you and your family that you find the strength to endure each day as it comes and that with each day, your heartache lessens if even just a little bit.

says everything I feel and want to say to you...
