in a recent Big Brother show CBS decieded to air comments of one of the cast that reffered to children with autism as "retards" the equivilent to refering to a person of color by the N word, furthermore this cast member runs a fraudulent web charity taking good peoples money away from autism issues and puts it into his own pockets

I would ask anyone whom is outraged by this sort of behavior to express that outrage to CBS, please also pass this through your email chain,

Autism Speaks, please make CBS LISTEN

below is a form letter if you simply want to send this fell free to cut and paste to

"As a fan of Big Brother and a parent of a child with autism I am in complete disgust at one of your house guests comments about people with autism. Referring to them as, "retards"

One of the players, Adam, who claims to work in public relations and with autistic children. On the recent show, he was telling the other houseguests about a haircutting place he wanted to start for special needs children. Then said "So all the retards can get it together and get their hair cut". When later confronted by another house guest, Adam was completely unapologetic and, in fact, stated he works with "them", so he can call them whatever he wants. As the parent of a special needs child, one with autism who is not in any way, shape or form mentally retarded, I cannot put into words how that comment cut through me. To think that someone involved in working with or for our children would laughingly refer to them as retards makes me sick. Even worse than the comment is that CBS made th decision to air it on television, with no regard to the feelings of people living with autism. It was a decision surely made for ratings and controversy. You should be ashamed of yourself.

Also, while doing further research into this incident it came to my attention that the foundation Adam claims to work for is ficticious according to various searches.

In addition, someone has apparently set up a website claiming to be for autism funding at http://www.uniaf.org (the united autism foundation the foundation he claims to work for) if can see for yourself that this is NOT a true autism support site but appears to be a fictitious charity that also promotes Adam. And, is listed as being a ficticious corporation through Florida Dept of State Divisions of Corporations.

In addition to contacting you directly I will be forwarding my concerns to several Autism Foundations, the media and any legal resources to report possible fraud dealing with this so called foundation Adam claims to be employed. As are many other families of special needs persons doing the same.

This person needs to be removed from Big Brother as well a you, CBS, giving a big apology for allowing this person to be on your show and statements aired."
