| | | | This is just a little note to let you all know i may not be around much in the next couple of weeks.
Those of you who know me well, are aware of my husband's ongoing problems related to his lupus (for those of you who'd like info about lupus, just google "Systemic Lupus Erythematosis") and some of you are aware that he was taken to the ER last night with severe abdominal pain. 24 hours later, i have just returned from the hospital and he is still lying on a guerney in the emergency department while they (very slowly) try to determine the cause of the problem. At the moment we have it narrowed down to a few things; a lower digestive tract infection (which would not be lupus-related), a meccles diverticulum (which he has had operated on before) or (the worst case scenario) Lupus-related Renal(kidney) failure. At this point in time, i'm totally confused, but those are the scenarios the doctors have given us, and they are conducting tests as i type. He has had some X-rays, a CT scan and blood tests and i am hopeful that we'll have some answers in the next couple of hours. In any case, i am likely to be spending a lot of time between my mother's house (while she cares for our son) and the hospital, as well as continuing to work because, well, the bills need to be paid. So, my dear friends, i will most likely not have much time for chatting until i have him settled back at home. That could be tonight (although at this stage i'm thinking that's unlikely) or, if he requires surgery for a meccles diverticulum, or treatment for kidney issues, we could be looking at weeks.
Those of you who wish to contact me, i can check my pagers from work on the 10 minute break i get in the morning, or please contact Uncut for my email address.. he is a trusted friend, so i'll leave it up to him who gets it and who doesn't.
I'll also try to keep my r/t friends updated on Danny's condition, so if you're curious, ask bron and i'm sure she'll be good enough to let you know any news.
