Okay normally, there's no problems for me on the site. I use Firefox 2.0.0.7, the .net version of the site. No problems.

Today? Problems.

Every two or three posts, I keep getting the 'page loading' thing, and a huge white screen with a bunch of text (Will page this to you)

It's happening to the person I'm talking with in a private room as well. Yet someone else I'm messaging via pager, said they're NOT having problems, and are also in a private room.

So I'm not sure what's going on.

Hi Stormii

Others have had this problem too but we have no idea why it's happening so have no fix right now.

I am tweaking various setting on the server to try to fix the issue but clearly what I did last week has had no positive effect.

All I can suggest right now is to use IE instead of Firefox.

I will be working on the code more this next week so we can put the site on another server to see if our main server is the problem.

Your pager message helps me though. Next time please use "View" and then "Page Source" and send me that instead. That'll tell me more.

Thanks for the bug report. The more information I receive the closer I get to finding the cause and then ultimately a fix for this annoying bug.

Alright, if it happens again, I'll do it that way *chuckles*

And it's odd because up until a bit ago hadn't had problems, and now that I've posted, once again no problems. *Scratches head* Weird.

Yea.. I've been using the latest Firefox since we started having these reports so I could see the issue for myself but I haven't had it hang once on me..

Looking at the Firefox forums I am seeing some posts regarding the latest version doing this on other sites. One theory is bad JavaScript but you would think you would have the same problem every time you visit a page with that bad JavaScript.

Seems to me a weird bug in Firefox.

It must be, because I've been using Firefox on the site for a long time now. I can't stand IE personally, and like I said no problems until tonight, and none since I posted this thread.

*Looks back and forth* Swear I'm not crazy! *laughing*

As for javascript errors, yeah you'd think what happened in one place, would make it happen again and again. I'd been thinking maybe it was because I was in a private room, hence why I asked someone else who was, and they had no issues. So there went that theory.

So I lied. It did it again. But when I do view/page source, it won't let me see the information. I have a screen cap of the javascript box it popped up.

i have a suggestion for those that are having problems with Firefox... instead of going straight back to using IE, either go for Opera or Enigma Browser... i have no problems with the site when i use Enigma Browser and from what i've heard Opera is pretty good too

Has things improved for you with this issue?

I have been making some performance tweaks on the server over the last week so would be nice to know if that has fixed the problem you were having.

i dont use Firefox at all and i've noticed the last couple of days the refresh in the pork has been horrid. There have been a couple of room wide boots and freezing of peoples screen. i would have thought maybe this was just my computer, but alot of people have been complaining about the same things.

it actually took 2 1/2 minutes for this message to post on this thread....and thats been typical of posts in the room. Its not every single post....there will be like 10 in a roll that will post immediate then its like the site just comes to a halt for a while.

I need everybody to report issues like this... there is no way for me to know there is a problem if you don't report it!

What I need from you is exact date and time the site hung up and the Domain name you're using.

To by pass any DNS issue it would be useful for those that experience this issue to log on to the site via the IP Address instead of a domain name.

Let me know if you have the same issues.

Thanks!
