Well, it's over and done; the Canadian Pork Party in Calgary is done. Everyone's gone home, hotel rooms cleaned out and probably already occupied by someone else, and who knows, we may have talked a couple staff members into checking us out on their own!!

As organizer of this event, I want to thank each and every one that came to the Party. MBT, Entangler, Karene, CdnLady, and decadent all kept me hopping, kept us laughing and telling stories well into the night. Snowy was able to join us last night after her commitments were completed, and it was great to have her there It has been my personal pleasure meeting two new people and strengthening friendships already in place. We all had good fun, nobody got hurt, and nothing broke... yeah, we were a tame crowd, what can we say? We ran the gamut in age from 24 to early/mid-50's, but it was good, as we all felt like one group of friends. Decadent kept encouraging me to let blackjeans come out and play versus just Sheldon, and he did from time to time...guess I never realized just how different I am r/t versus what I show online... r/t, I'm quiet and reserved, but you'd never know that from in here, would you? Was everyone as they seem to be in here? Well, if you take time to get to know them, as I've tried to (except for Entangler, whom I'd not talked to before a month or so ago), they're about as real as they can be.

Is Chat just Chat? Yes and no. I can be as shallow and superficial as you want to make it, or, it can be as real and friendly as you choose to make it. I choose to make mine real, and these 6 people whom I saw this weekend, are my friends, and it was my honor to serve them and facilitate a meeting of friends. *bows to each of them*

Anyone who is thinking of a party but doesn't know if it'd go, take the chance. Whomever shows up are the people who are meant to be there, and who are meant to touch your life. No man/woman is an island, we all need someone to help us along. Pork is a great group of people who come together to support each other in life, yeah, okay, some come here to score and screw up people's lives just for spite, but, by and large, most are good people. Take the chance on setting up a party, meeting people you may not know. It's wel worth the stress

THank you again, to the friends who joined me in Calgary. It is truly my honor to have served you.

No idea... did you post with a different Nickname and then did you delete that Nickname?

If so, posts are automatically deleted if you delete the Nickname you posted it with.

Security didn't remove it (as we had no complaint about it) so it wasn't removed on purpose as far as I can tell.

What date/time did you post?

Did you actually see the post after you posted?

BlackJeans

I looked at the log and he did delete his nickname and then added it back. That's the reason his posts were removed from the forums.

The warning is quite clear when you try to delete a Nickname.

Astute

I took time out of my day to track down why this happened when you could have answered honestly that you deleted your Nickname. I'm not amused and will not be so quick to take time to resolve issues you may have in the future.
