| So how do you feel about The Pork having larger icons?
Are you happy with the current size, or is bigger better?
Let's have your thoughts on this as well as sizes please.
Do you like the 140 x 140 and 40k ...
or perhaps 150 x 150 ...
or even 160 x 160?
What are your thoughts about the icons not being a
perfect square?
Let's get some ideas here.

not all images are suitable or would look nice in a purrfect square, so let's the keep the rectangle ones up to...
my worry though, and who am i to worry, it's the Graphics team's prerogative after all: won't people rush to enlarge all their existing icons?...

I have very little knowledge regarding iconeering, but I would love to have some of them cut differently for size and shape.

| elusive ... I'm sure people will rush to get their existing ones enlarged, however,
it's not that easy because attempting to size up an already made icon, winds
up looking pretty damn awful. So unless we have the original, the image will
have to be found. *smiles*
NT ... greetings Lady, I don't believe We've met *smiles*. I think some members
like different shapes for icons. The Iconeers cut them to whatever the Pork size
is at the moment ... but, if someone has their own image and would like a specific size,
that is doable. Just send it to Your Iconeer of choice and specify the size *nods*.
It will take weeks for Iconeers to cut the new sizes -if- we indeed agree that
bigger is better, so I'm sure we will shut down our sites for a week or so to
get that done *smiles*. |

My reasons might be selfish,but hey....
i have thousands and thousands of cropped images all 140x140....don't have the originals anymore. if icons were to go up to 160x160,i'm assuming most would favour the larger size - (i'm basing this statement by the votes thus far) - and i'd have to delete all these images i've got saved up
then again,i could always find new images and do them 160x160
would just suck to have to delete everything. |

agreeing on that too.
Just go to the iconeers sites, add up all the images found there, not to mention the thousands and thousands cut by those of us who are not freelancers or official iconeers and a lot of pics go straight down the drain.

| | | | I haven't voted yet, but some of the uncut blanks I have would look better in the 160 x 160 size. Would I go through and trash the images I already have? Nope. Hell, I still have images loaded in my account back when 120 x 120 was the iconage size.
Nor would I expect all the iconeers, offical - freelance - or otherwise, to resize all of their images. Just make new ones added the new size. |

| Even if we do go to a larger icon size, that doesn't mean
everyone will want them. It's really a matter of choice
for each of us ... no one is forcing the larger size on
you. The fun thing is, the option is there, should you
want it.
As for a lot of work, I have 134 pages and 2680 blanks
on My pages that would be lost if we go bigger. I look
at all the work as a fun experience, because this is one
of My hobbies, creating icons for people *smiles*. |

| | | | | An increased size would help at times with images that simply don't compress well. Personally, from a design perspective, I would like to see a rectangular orientation to the icons. I'm assuming we'd have to agree on a size weighted either portrait or landscape (preferred) view. Perhaps 160x140? |

| | | | If I'm not mistaken (and if I am, correct me) you can already put a rectangular image into the square space. What space isn't taken up by the image is filled with the background of the room. 160 x 140 would make for a nice sized rectangle though -s-
Much like the one cath used in an earlier post in this thread. |
