For those of you who don't know my story yet...

Monday morning, I went to the gym, like I do a couple times a week. I was walking on the
treadmill, and decided to ride a bike instead. I waited for the treadmill to come to a complete
stop (because I knew I'd hurt myself if I didn't), and went to step down. As I stepped down, my
ankle popped out of place (because my tendons are crap), and when I came down on it, I twisted
my ankle. Well, a sprain is something I could have dealt with... but I couldn't walk on it at all after
an hour. My dad (bless him) drove me the half hour into Reno to go to the Emergency Room. He
sat there with me for four and a half hours before the doctor came in and told me the following:

"Well, your xrays were interesting. You did sprain your ankle, but you also broke it. What happened
is when you stepped down, you twisted your ankle so hard that you tore one of your bones apart. So,
it is a technical fracture."

Alright... NOT the news I wanted to hear 2 weeks before flying to England. I have a follow up with
the Ortho on Thursday at 1030am. According to the TSA website, I will still be able to fly with a
cast, but there's no telling if I'll be splinted for a few weeks, or if I'll be put in a cast for 6. I'll keep
people updated if they page me with their email address.
