| | | | I just replaced my expired Norton subscriptions on my personal and work computers with AVG free, and ever since then I've been suffering some odd lockups, where I'll click either the Post/Speak button, or any link on the site (room settings, profiles, forums, anything), and it'll just sit trying to load it for anywhere up to 5 minutes.
I'm using Firefox with a handful of themes and plugins at home, one theme and very few plugins at work, both machines are experiencing the same issue, and it's only been happening since removing Norton and installing AVG.
Anyone able to help at all? Short of flying free and easy with no virus protection... |

I'm a big fan of AVG and have used it probably well over 100 times now. I've often seen this problem when going from Norton to AVG. Norton, being the rank piece of shit it is, never uninstalls cleanly or fully. Symantec has a downloadable uninstaller that should remove the remaining traces.

| | | | | Not a fan of AVG at all. When I worked in IT and people didn't have virus protection, I would install Avast free for home, never known any problems with this. AVG was one of the biggest offenders in software problems that I have ever known, and yes I agree Norton is also pure tripe. |
