O Father of Glory, we ask You now to protect in a special way those who are fighting for us and for the country we love. Bless them and take care of them. If they are tired, give them strength. If they are wounded and suffering, give them comfort. If they are lonely, touch them with Your gentle hand and let them know that You are near them. Grant them strength, wisdom and help through Your power, grace and limitless love.

How about praying for them to come back? I honestly believe they would be much more grateful if you did that.

It is the VETERAN, not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is the VETERAN, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the VETERAN, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the VETERAN, not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is the VETERAN, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the VETERAN, not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the VETERAN,
who salutes the Flag,

It is the veteran,
who serves under the Flag,

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON THEM.

I don't know if you saw this in the news but it really impressed me. Funny, our US Senate/House took 2 days off as they couldn't work because of the expected storm.

On the ABC evening news, it was reported that, because of the dangers from Hurricane Isabelle approaching Washington DC, the military members assigned the duty of guarding the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier were given permission to suspend the assignment.

They respectfully declined the offer, "No way, Sir!"

Soaked to the skin, marching in the pelting rain of a tropical storm, they said that guarding the Tomb was not just an assignment; it was the highest honor that can be afforded to a serviceperson.

The tomb has been patrolled continuously, 24/7, since 1930.

We can be very proud of our young men and women in the service no matter where they serve.

God Bless them all!!!

And derpeederp, asked,

How about praying for them to come back? I honestly believe they would be much more grateful if you did that.

It wasn't nails that held Him to the cross but His love for you and me.

There is no greater love than that a man lay down his life for his friends.

We have all voluntary troops, derpeederp. The freedom that is won or maintained by their actions may not be appreciated or recognized by those who will most enjoy freedom, until the Lord comes That Day and rewards those who have followed Him. Praise Him! Praise Them!
Love, adore, bowdown to Him.

So... you're telling me that you'd rather have them die than get home? Hm... sounds kinda dumb.

What is this "freedom" that they're defending? Honestly, if you can answer that with truth rather than something your president said, I'd really like to hear it. ""Freedom" to walk your dog? No. "Freedom" to speak up? No. "Freedom" to live? No. "Freedom" of religion? No. What is this great "freedom" that you speak of?
And these soldiers aren't Jesus at all. I never remember hearing about Jesus fragging his enemies.
Quit being hypocritical about your faith. You said that the answers you seek are in the Bible. Well, which is it? A or B?

Oh contrare!

It is "YES" to all of the above. Praise the Lord.

It is true that these freedoms are being attacked every day but good people who love them fight for them every day...especially Soldiers of Christ. He is the Author of our Liberty and Freedom. Praise Him!

No, because if you bothered to look up the reason behind terrorists' actions against the US, you would find it has absolutely NOTHING to do with freedom. It has to do with putting military bases on their holy land. Your president is not always telling the truth.

including their own mosques?

you talkin' 'bout dat holy land where they behead young men and shoot reporters interested in reporting the truth?

you talkin' 'bout where they plotted to kill and did 6,000 Americans of all ages and of all walks of life in the Trade Center?

our freedom is their bain because we don't bow down to them derpeederp.

You talkin' bout dat country that outs pressure on the world t oanswer to them?

You talkin' bout dat country whose leader's cohorts set up shields so none of his own people can prosecute him for crimes against humanity?

You talkin' bout dat country whose leader has been lying to them?

You talkin' bout dat country where racism is clear? Where black people just don't matter whatsoever?

You talkin' bout dat country where freedom to have privacy is just revoked?

You talkin' bout dat country whose intelligence agencies help overtrhow small mations so they can suck the resources right out of them? Where they can set up puppets as leaders, then kill them if they don't want to answer to them anymore?

You talkin' bout dat country where the leader claims God told him to invade two nations inhabited by brown people, many of whom have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER what the US is?

You talkin' bout that country who continues to contradict himself?

You talkin bout dat country where the real world is ONLY that country?

Get over yourself; the world isn't black and white. IT's technicolor. YOu must be a dog, I guess.

By the way, the nation that you speak of is Saudi Arabia, a US- supported and vice versa nation. So... if the US is fighting for freedom... what's up with Saudi Arabia?
Can't point the gun at a pool of oil, because you know what happens when you pull the trigger, right?
By the way, for anyone to say anything about troops and freedom to me is like leading my foot into a cowpie.
CNN, FOXNEWS and MSNBC don't report the truth. They give you a half-truth. Half a truth is a whole lie, to quote tvnewslies.org.
Every time I tune into the news, I see US troops (sometimes even my own country's troops) pushing reporters and confiscating their cameras. How do you explain that? They don't want to get court-martialed, therefore not equaling off the balance of justice and truth?
And don't say that children are killed by terrorists only. For some reason, whenever there's a major strike against the enemy, there always seems to be a couple of kids killed, and that is always overlooked. Don't give me that "It's war" crap, because then your Biblical statements no longer matter.
Where are the WMDs, by the way? Did you know that Saddam Hussein opposed theocracy, not to mention ALL fundamentalist muslims? Since when did Iraq become something other than the disarming of it? What happened to the disarming, anyway? Oh yeah, that's right, there was NOTHING to disarm.
If you really care about sparing the lives of peopole in Saudi Arabia, why isn't the US doing anything about it? They seem to violate more human rights than Iraq (before the war and before numbskull insurgents decided it's a jihad).
