Is there a reason why the permenant ignore is set at 300?

NOt that I have reached that limit yet I'm just asking in case I do.

There is a limit set because our ignore database table grew bigger than any other table and started to slow down the chat system.

Based on the queries I just ran I don't see any members who are even close to ignoring 300 users (there are only 2 out of thousands of members that are ignoring over 150). The limit is just fine and the majority of members are using the ignore list as it's meant to be used (for ignoring those you absolutely don't want to view messages from).

It would seem to me if you had to ignore 300 people, that your reason for chatting would be nil and void.

Isn't chatting wanting to read other peoples opinions or replies, etc, and comment on them.

That just seems unreasonable to me. And a little
crazy. Most likely the problem would lie with the
person doing all the ignoring.

Just my thoughts!

Okay Folks,

This is a Security "Help/Suggestion" Membership Services Topic Board.
Reminding you that this Board is in the -Moderated-
section of the Discussion Forums.

We are more than happy to accept questions and suggestions as well as assist you if you are having problems with the Pork Chatrooms, Pager systems; anything pertaining to Pork related issues.

This is not an opinion Board to post your idle thoughts of other chatters;
nor is it a Board for Flaming other chatters or giving any definations of words, terms, etc.
There are many online dictionarys available for your use if you need definitions.
We also do not need account of who or how many chatters that you are clicking.

It's obvious that when your ignore list reached maximum capicity, it's time to clear your list and restart the process of ignoring again.

Administration and the Security Team is more than happy to help you in any way that we can, according to and keeping in line with Terms of Use and Rules of the Pork.

I have saved all posts that have been removed for reason of:
Flaming, off-topic or idle and/or sarcastic posts.
This is not the place for it.
Take it to a NHB Thread.

If continued off-topic posts are made;
if you continue to Flame other chatters;
your account will be put on notice for abusing the Security Topic Thread.

If you have posted here and no longer see your post.. guess what?
You're on the list.

Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.
