I feel sad..
I feel like it hit me and I don't even know any of them..
I am not making blame,
I am just really sad..
I wished my heart could speak out more and miracles would appear..
I can only imagine how the loved ones and family and friends must feel..
I will feel it with you..
I dedicate this lost day of mine in honour to the coal miners and their memories..

I don't know about other outlets, but CNN was a little critical. They even did a poll about the media's role in the misinformation.
The CEO of the mining company looked like an idiot in the press conference this afternoon. While someone from their organization may not have made the announcement that the 12 were alive, they did NOTHING to say anything to the contrary until almost four hours later.
Someone needed to have the GUTS to go down there and face the music. They claim they told everyone involved not to let anything out until they made an official announcement, but that obviously didn't work.
This company is going to get sued. The mine had almost 200 violations of safety codes - and many of them were severe violations.

I'm thinking...if I knew they had been told all 12 were alive, and I KNEW that wasn't true, I would at least send someone down there in an official capacity to say, "Hey, hang on. We don't know what's what yet. As soon as we know for sure, we'll tell you."
But, instead, one of his own staff members disobeyed the instructions not to tell, people got false hope, and he got scared.
Only four hours later, when it had LONG BEEN OBVIOUS that the other 12 were dead and people were starting to wonder where the guys were that they were told would be brought down to them, did he suck it up and face the music.
