Good Morning

I met you blinded by many miles
across a medium emotions rarely embark
Through the windows of your soul you watched
as my heart poured into yours
and by way of your hands your feelings passed mine
as if walking on a street
But while our hearts bled, they begged to be one
and as our flesh prayed for one another, our souls listened

For a period of time, our soul's mixed
they blended into a joy as if loneliness had never existed
I collected every artifact in your voice
memorizing every detail as if an archaeologist finding his prize
Ignoring the distance, I dusted every artifact
I listened as you released your words from within your body
Ascending to your mouth, crossing your tongue and passing your teeth and lips
traveled a great expanse of distance and fell on my ears

If every word were a kiss, then my thoughts were an embrace
wrapping around your ribs and gripping your spine
With one word at a time, we moistened one another's lips
and I held you so very close
Having an open mind, we closed our eyes
Simultaneously we awoke and looked at one another
As the sun was rising, you found yourself buried under a single silk sheet
My chest was buried by your hair, and what remained of me was buried under you.
