Member Figs are coming into season soon, and I wanted to share this recipe...

Slice open some fresh ripe figs, variety does not matter (but I have only done this with the darker varieties so results may differ if using lighter/greener ones)
Stuff the inner pocket with a soft cheese of your choice... I prefer goat cheese, but brie and camembert are also fantastic options.
Place the figs in a oven proof dish and bake at 350 F for as long as it takes to get the cheese bubbly and gooey.. usually 7-12 minutes...

Allow to cool, or at least to the point that you will not burn your mouth.
Enjoy!

Member Sounds disgusting to me. It really does sound an awful combination but that's my opinion. I'm sure everyone else will tell you the same. Try another combination that works.

Member Figs and cheese are a classic for a reason. I love them with mascarpone, but a great chèvre is gorgeous too. Balsamic drizzle to finish.
