I mentioned no names in my post. Do you have a guilty conscience perhaps?
You should quote people more accurately. Allow me to supply you the direct quote. Which has nothing to do with Barack Obama. That was your inference.
This was about the ego. Which your post above validates. But such is instigation.
"But you find people no matter where you go who think they are above the rules or that they don't apply to them. I attribute it to a blindness to the ego or maybe its allowing the ego to rule one's intelligence."
~ I dig it when you have a smile on your face ~ |

| OK,
So we're having another round of flaming each other in a not so subtle way.
Knock it off everybody. I was allowing a couple of posts to slide (namely from Kasteele calling LAM moronic..) but now LAM has taken it to another level and I'm putting an end to it. My fault for not acting and allowing my personal opinion to interfere (hey.. i'm not perfect..) but I am now and it stops now.
DO NOT CALL OTHERS PRICKS OR MORONIC.
Yes, there was a chatter called Prick but come on... we're not stupid. Do not bother arguing with me as I'll just ban your ass.
Do you understand how to debate the issues without insulting others? If you can't then you do not belong on this forum and should go to the NHB Politics forum. Breaking the rules of this forum will get you banned from the WHOLE SITE. So if you don't understand by now how to safely post in this forum I suggest you leave.
I think the majority of you get it and I thank you for rising above it all.
Kasteele, LAM. No more OK? Enough and this is the last warning to both of you (I've also sent you both a pager message warning you too so no excuses). |
| | | | | I am seeing this like a week later, but it totally makes me think of that Seinfeld episode (don't forget Winona is a Native American, blech is that the PC title these days, they change so much I can't keep up):
"[Jerry's apartment]
Jerry is pouring glasses of Perrier in the kitchen while Winona looks around.
WINONA: I like your place. It's very unassuming.
JERRY: Well, why would I assume. I never assume. Leads to assumptions.
WINONA: (laughs) Oh, by the way. That TV Guide I gave you, I need it back.
JERRY: Why?
WINONA: Well, I'm doing a report on minorities in the media, and I wanted to use that interview with Al Roker.
JERRY: Well, it's too late. I gave it to Elaine, and she's already on her way to give it to George's father.
WINONA: Jerry, I really need it back. It, it is mine.
JERRY: You can't give something and then take it back. I mean, what are you... (catches himself)
WINONA: What?
JERRY: A uh, a person that uh...
WINONA: A person that what?
JERRY: Well, a person that gives something and then they're dissatisfied and they wish they had, had never uh...
WINONA: And?
JERRY: ...give, given it to the person that they originally gave it to.
WINONA: You mean like, an Indian giver?!
JERRY: I'm sorry, I'm not familiar with that term."
*LOL* I loved that show about nothing.
dandy

| LORDANDMASTER (10/19/2008) I am not surprised that you cannot grasp the concept of what spread the wealth means since[b] you have not shown any intellectual prowess in any of your posts. So I will explain it to you in simple terms:
Obama wants to create a negative income tax where non taxpayers receive cash benefits from the revenue collected from others. This is the worst kind of socialism and has nothing to do with a progressive tax system. It is a welfare system clear and simple. If you are unable to grasp this then I can't help you.
Great example of flaming here folks. LAM is now banned.
I'm getting really tired of banning people... please don't use this forum if you don't understand what flaming is. I think ML post was perfect:
wiki:
Flaming is the hostile and insulting interaction between Internet users. Flaming usually occurs in the social context of a discussion board, Internet Relay Chat (IRC) or even through e-mail. An Internet user typically generates a flame response to other posts or users posting on a site, and such a response is usually not constructive, does not clarify a discussion, and does not persuade others. Sometimes, flamers attempt to assert their authority or establish a position of superiority over other users. Other times, a flamer is simply an individual who believes he or she carries the only valid opinion. This leads him or her to personally attack those who disagree. In some cases, flamers wish to upset and offend other members of the forum, in which case they can be called "trolls." Most often however, flames are angry or insulting messages transmitted by people who have strong feelings about a subject.
HAVE strong opinions but do not insult others on this forum. If your opinion is valid then you have no need to belittle others. |
| | | | | 'looks at the pig and starts to crave pork scratchings'
It's a good idea to put up some of the examples as they occur.....it certainly makes it clear to see how a small insult is infact a flame.
Just a thought but could we not have a NHB politics forum? No, scrap that idea...it would just become a free for all 's'
