| | | | I just got home from work. He had the ultrasound today and they said it looked like 1 big stone rather than several..so that has me kinda confused. He has a referral for a surgeon, so MORE waiting.. in the meantime i have to get him to our GP in the next couple of days for follow-up care.
On the upsde, his pain seems to be less this afternoon. The colour is back in his face a little, and he walked to the door when i got home from work. I really can't even express how relieved i am... His lupus was in remission for a long time, and then, about a year ago, the flare-up started with pleuresy, then the blood clot, then we had to deal with the neurosurgeon and the warfarin and weekly blood tests for INR....It's been a loooong year and i was terrified this was going to be another disgusting process.
I want to thank you all so much for your messages here, and pagers... it's helped me a lot to know that you guys all care. Now that i have him home, i'll have more access to the computer, but it will probably be restricted to late at night my time, once Danny and the lil guy are settled for the night. We're hoping in a few days he will be feeling much better (once the antibiotics get to work on the infection and the inflammation is reduced) so things will go back to normal (as normal as it gets around here).
Something cute happened the other day... our son, who is 3, sat on my lap and said "mummy, i wanna be a house." Very serious, with great conviction.
I looked at him very oddly and asked him what he meant.
He replied " yes, mummy...i wanna be a house and work in a hospital!"
I couldn't help but laugh and wonder whether the kid watches too much tv... at least he has ambition i guess ~L~

| | | | Well, look what i get for dilly-dallying; late on the line for wishing Danny well. Nice to see they've got it nailed down to a cause, it should be a simple surgery to go in and zap it, I know my wife only has the 3 little scars like Lady G has, but it still takes time to heal. Prayers shall go up on his behalf for strength and quick healing, and pray will go up on your behalf, Kaitlyn, for strength, patience, and enduring love. It will be more of a burden on you, I'm sure, but our God is faithful, He will provide more than you ask for simply because of His good grace and mercy. Huuuuugs my recently acquired friend. Be strong and courageous!!
