First off the Marvel: Annihilation 2. I dont care if you hate Marvel, Annihilation was better then ANYTHING Marvel OR DC put out in years. Civil War? Crap. Infinite Crisis? Lame.

Now the sequel!! One of the many characters debuting?

Enter the Wraith:

World War Hulk. Can you say New Champions?

Angel is back. Namora from Agents of Atlas. Hercules and the new Scorpion, who just may be Banners daughter.

Hulks is gonna own everyone.

As for DC, some spinoffs from 52:

This was taking from LA Comic Con.

"Any spin-offs of 52?" DiDio: "It's funny you say that. If we did a Booster Gold ongoing series, would anybody like that?" People clapped. "I'm not saying he survives 52, but what if it were written by Geoff Johns, co-written by comics newcomer Jeff Katz, and drawn by Dan Jurgens and Norm Rapmund?"

He continued, "We do have plans to bring back Infinity Inc., with John Henry Irons in the lead, written by Peter Milligan."

Geoff Johns added this bout Booster:

“What else can I say? A bar fight with Jonah Hex, the world's greatest Green Lantern Guy Gardner's first day on the job, the Justice League International, Rip Hunter, a last page that will rival Justice Society of America’s and...Supernova?

You know this series is gonna rock. This message was edited by Jacob~Sladder on 3-17-07 @ 10:15 AM

Oh yeah...Countdown!!

This year-long weekly series featuring a cast of hundreds kicks into high gear in its second month, under the watchful eye of head writer Paul Dini! See Mary Marvel undergo a surprising transformation! Learn why Donna Troy and Jason Todd are integral players in a cosmic chess game! And see Jimmy Olsen as you’ve never seen him before!

And the Sinestro Corps..

This is getting me giddy.

I'm actually excited about World War Hulk, in equal parts due to a) Marvel's lately out-of-character 'good guys' are gonna get their asses handed to them, and b) it's all drawn by John Romita, Jr., the definitive living Marvel artist. Nobody draws the Marvel U. like him, as seen in his Enemy of the State storyline in Wolverine.

Annihilation has gotten such good buzz that I wish I hadn't passed it up. Honestly though, when it was coming out, I just couldn't afford all those extra books, and I hate missing out on any bit of a story, so if I can't get it all... well, anyways, I think I'll be looking for the trades, and I'm definitely picking up the sequel.

A Booster Gold/Geoff Johns book is only the beginning -heh- I swear to you, there -will- be an All-Star Super Buddies book helmed by Giffen/DeMatteis before the end of the year. We need the bwa-ha-ha. Still, this book will be awesome. Booster always had a great catch; a corporate super-hero. Now that he's learned a little humility, will it really change him? I doubt it -heh- The real question is, with Ted dead and Skeets bug-shit psycho, who's going to play straight man/conscience to Booster?

Countdown is going to kick all kinds of ass. 52 was a menage of character breakdowns, and slightly interweaving mysteries. Countdown is balls to the wall action. Mary Marvel turned dark by Eclipso? Jimmy Olsen dead? Darkseid kicking ass? The return of Ray Palmer? Two lame Flash Rogues handcuffed together? I think you know what I'm talking about -heh-

I'm also looking forward to the JLA/JSA crossover coming up. As awesome a book as Justice League is, Justice Society is the best book DC's putting out now, with awesome cliff-hanger pages, teeth-aching action, and intense characters. Nothing beats Hawkman putting the mace to holdover Nazi supervillains. Nothing. -heh-

Marvel's still got a long ways to go before they win me back, but at least they're trying, with two events not associated with Bendis.

And Cap dying? They're making -way- too big a deal out of it. Steve Rogers will be back. Everyone knows it. It's like Wolverine losing his adamantium. It's only a matter of time. Captain America isn't a mantle that can be picked up. Steve -is- Captain America. It's just him being himself.
